First Fall
From the bottom of the peak, all I see is the sky
Perfectly blue, blanketed in cotton clouds
Once I reach the top, I'll launch into heaven
Halfway up and I see the top of her head
Further up and I see the full mountain
The trees are on fire.
Leaves of bright oranges, yellows and reds sticking out in between the green.
Leafless branches resembling smoke
The beauty is enough to bring a tear to my eye
The tear holds on to my eyelid, scared to fall
As I gaze into the tear, I see an inverted reflection of nature's beauty
Enough to make her fall down my cheek, tickling me, as she becomes a trail
